5 Adults, 3 Kids Injured In 2-Car West LA Traffic Collision Involving Pedestrians

WEST LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities on Sunday afternoon responded to the scene of a traffic collision in West Los Angeles that injured eight people, three of them children.

The LA Fire Department said at about 2:30 p.m. that a crash had occurred between two SUVs at 11250 W Santa Monica Boulevard in West Los Angeles, near an on-ramp to the 405 Freeway. One of the SUVs also hit two pedestrians.

Six of the SUV occupants were injured in the crash, including one person who was trapped in a car when authorities arrived. The two pedestrians were also injured.

Four of the eight patients were listed in critical condition by the LAFD. Those people included a 27-year-old woman, a 30-year-old man, a 27-year-old man and a 30-year-old female.

Four patients were in good or fair condition. Those included a 33-year-old man, an 8-year-old girl, a 3-year-old and a 6-year-old.

One of the SUV drivers tried to flee the scene, a witness said, but was forced to stay in his SUV by several witnesses.
